Schedule 40/80 Steel Pipe with 5/8″ Steel Plate Bollard
The 6 inch Bolt Down Bollard is the best all-around bolt down bollard, to be used indoors for protection of just about anything. They can also be used outdoors where in-ground bollard installation is problematic or impossible. Note that in-ground bollards are superior to bolt-down in holding up to collisions. Bolt Down Bollards are only as effective as their anchors and anchoring surface.

The 6 inch bolt down bollard is the work-horse of the bolt-down family. My warehouses and factories are full of em’. I’ve seen em’ stop a forklift from knocking over some high shelving full of slot machines. This could have been a huge disaster. Those shelves can knock each other over like dominos.

Bollard Cover or Steel Welded Cap
Welded Dome Cap Before Finishing
Welded Flat or Dome Cap: Instead of using a bollard cover, you can have a flat cap or dome cap welded to the top. Note that this is better suited for indoor applications. Outdoors, we suggest using a cover, so the welded dome cap would be hidden and redundant.
Bollard Cover: Unless specified, we bundle bollard covers with the base plate bollards.

The following is the standard base plate for the 4 inch Bolt Down Bollard, both SCH40 and SCH80 versions:
- 4 inch: 10″ x 10″ x 5/8″ with 15/16″ Holes
Super Duty Plate Option: 12″ x 12″ x 1″ (we suggest use only with Schedule 80 version)
Anchors
3/4″ x 6 1/4″ Expansion Anchors
Anchor Holes: You may specify a different anchor hole and offset from edge.
Anchors: Standard Anchors are 3/4″ x 6 1/4″ Expansion Anchors. Those are included unless you choose to provide your own anchors. There are too many types and sizes for us to stock.
